This is a voicetest post for Shiro from "Voltron: Legendary Defender"! Feel free to use one of the prompts below or make up one of your own.

PROMPTS
1. Shiro takes a deep breath, centering himself, and shuts the blast visor on his helmet. "All right," he says, hearing his voice a little tinny in the speakers. "Just like we talked about. Get me through this and then I'll guide you. Start the clock Coran!"

2. "On your left!" Shiro shouts as alarms blare around him. The black lion slews sideways and turns, mouth blade shearing through a Galra fighter craft's wing, but he isn't going to be able to get there in time to help his ally. "Look out!"

3. Shiro jolts awake, biting back a hoarse cry. It's dim... except that his hand - that hand - is glowing and active. Adrenaline and fear hammer in his chest as he looks around the room, but there is no threat. There are no galra. He's safe. They're safe. He sighs heavily and lets his hand power down, leaning forward to run his good hand over his face. "A dream," he murmurs, thinking himself alone.

4. The Champion is back. The whispers precede him, running from oracle to pillar to adversary to champion all through Questing Country. The Champion of Strength, the Adversary of Resilience... but he's not either of those anymore. There on the edge of an enormous toadstool cap looking out to where the pool is nestled stands the Oracle of Balance, and at his side sits an enormous, pitch black lioness. Shiro turns his head and smiles. "Coming to look for your own spirit animal?"

5. Onyx ignores the stares. He's used to them by now. How many hecatites are so badly damaged that they have to have a grafted prosthesis? The ametrine arm would serve him well enough until the wounds eventually killed him. But who knows how long that would take? In the meantime he's doing the best he can. "You really don't want to go through the asteroid field that way," he says patiently. "The planet is going to shift in approximately eight hours, right when you would be in the heart of the field, and the solar radiation is going to catch the dark sections here and here and set the asteroids spinning and colliding. Unless you have a keen pilot you would be crushed."

6. The nice thing about Shiro is that you always know where to look for him. The training deck, the common room, or his room. Right now he's in his room. ...stepping out of the shower. "Oh, hey. Need something?" he asks, toweling off his short hair.

"Dude, you are gonna give people heart attacks if we ever go back to the Grid." Claudia pauses. "Actually, I'm not sure if Programs have hearts in the technical sense. Logic bombs? Anyway, not the point, are you okay?"

Look, the door was open and the glowy purple hand's kind of attention-getting.

Just a nightmare. Suuuuure it is. Claudia's also positive it's an Isolated Incident. Yep.

But hey, if he doesn't want to talk about that and a distraction will help, she can oblige. "The... second? Yeah, second jaunt I was on was inside a computer. Pretty neat, really."

"Well, they're hardly gonna call themselves 'people,' are they? Not when they're literally made out of code. Of course, I ended up missing most of the real action, but hey."

She still got a lightcycle for her trouble, which in turn made it possible to pass on that particular awesomeness to people who weren't there for it.

"No, little floating doodads would be closer to bits. Which are adorable, but only communicate in Yes or No." You know, binary. It's a thing.

"Programs aren't... quite robots, but there's room for the analogy. By and large they come with Priority and Purpose. Purpose is your job in the greater system of things, and Priority's your place in the pecking order - the lower the number, the higher the Priority. Sounds great in theory, but in practice it's really easily abused. Higher Priority overrules a lower one, every time."

The investigators must've confused the hell out of the locals.

"Infiltrators did. Kind of no way around it, if you want to drop people in and have them think they belong there. From what I understand, a couple investigators ended up re-factioning into one existing group or another, and they would've been put into that framework at the time, but they all showed up without either. And then there was the rebellion, which was apparently all about getting rid of Priority."

In-jaunt, she didn't have time to do much more than wonder what the glitch was up with all these yellow Programs all of a sudden. Out of jaunt, Naoto had a good idea and should feel good.

The voice that comes back is a bit nervous, but Pidge isn't going to back down from the challenge.

"Ok, Shiro. Um. You're a lot taller than me, so judging your distance is going to be a bit difficult. Take two steps forward, then stop."

... she thinks.

There's no wall for him to bounce off of, so it seems that something went right.

"Good, Now turn left..." She pauses, correcting herself. "Your right, sorry, and go about three steps, and the path'll start curving to the right."

"Yeah. About there. Couple degrees to the right, and about four steps and then a left."

Unfortunately, she's back to thinking about her strides, rather than Shiro's.

"Oh, quiznak!" Pidge's voice comes over the comm, just a little panicked. "Shiro, I'm sorry! Are you alright? I forgot to cut the steps down because you're taller than me, and please be alright, because I don't think I'd forgive myself if I really hurt you."

She's babbling again.

"Are you sure? I... I'll do better, Shiro, I promise." She takes a breath and looks at the maze. "Alright, so turn left, and go about three steps. You steps, not me steps."

This time, she's right on.

If there's one person who isn't staring, it's Kyan; been there, done that, after all. Instead, he's simply getting down to business.

"Yeah, I see what you mean. Whole area's a minefield," he chimes in, loading up a set of diagrams. "Been runnin' the figures, and there's a cleaner path coming through this way at a steeper angle; still got the mess at L4 but ain't got much of a way to avoid that."

"Kyan - navigation and astronomy. And man, it was no problem - you got a big cloud of debris starin' in your face like that, there ain't any point in trying to argue with it, right?" It's not like he hasn't had worse to wrangle in the past... as long as everything is using the same direction of time, he's fine with densely packed asteroid clusters.

Some habits die hard. And skipping lunch is one of them. Kyan looks a spot embarrassed. "Not in a while. Thanks," he says, scratching at a stray shard on his natural arm.
